At 01:04 hours Company 95 was dispatched on the initial structure assignment as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to assist Company 5, Oley Fire Company, with a possible house fire in the unit block of Moravian School Road in Oley Township. The caller was reporting that the house was filling with smoke and they were attempting to evacuate. Engine 5 and Captain 5-1 arrived and reported smoke pushing from the eaves and reported a working fire with fire showing form the Charlie side. Rescue 95 responded and upon arrival the crew assembled necessary equipment and threw some ground ladders for the crews working on the roof and secured some utilities. Command came and requested personnel to engage in assisting with fire attack. The RIT team split in two and personnel pulled additional lines and made entry through the rear door and attacked the fire. The crews could not go far into the residence due to the floor being burnt away and compromised. An additional RIT team was dispatched along with a second alarm for manpower. As those companies began to arrive additional manpower was immediately put to work to extinguish the fire and begin the overhaul process. Upon the bulk of that being completed, command released RIT and the company was placed available at 3:49 hours.
