1/12/2023 TRUCK INTO RAILROAD BRIDGE WITH INJURIES, FARMINGTON AVENUE, DOUGLASS

Company 95 was dispatched at 1127 hours for a tractor trailer stuck under the railroad bridge with injuries. Crews extricated the driver from the vehicle and assisted Boyertown Ambulance EMS with getting him into the ambulance. Crews stabilized the scene and assisted Berks-Mont Towing and V&M towing with removing the vehicle from the bridge. Berks-Mont crews cleaned up dumped trash that was on the roadway and removed the truck and trailer from the scene. BAF&R Fire Police were assisted by Gilbertsville Fire Co Fire Police and Upper Pottsgrove Fire Co. Fire Police. Crews were on scene over three hours and Farmington Avenue was shut down from Reading Avenue to Englesville Hill Road.

 

Douglas Police are investigating the crash and had Bern Township Police assist them by conducting a DOT Inspection of the truck.
