Company 95 was dispatched to Route 100 in front of Quigley Motors at 0534 hours for a vehicle on it’s side with the occupant trapped inside. On arrival crews stabilized the vehicle and worked with Boyertown Ambulance EMS to evaluate the driver occupant and cover him so the windshield could be removed to extricate him from the vehicle. The driver was extricated and turned over to EMS and transported to a local hospital. Crews contained fluid leaks and assisted Berks-Mont Towing with removal of the vehicle. The owner of Quigley Motors was called to the scene to secure the power from the light standard that was sheared off. Thanks to Fire Police from Eastern Berks Fire & Rescue and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue for assisting BAF&R Fire Police with closing the South Bound lane of Rt 100.
Eastern Berks Regional Police are investigating the crash.
