Company 95 was dispatched at 1425 hours to 2126 Farmington Avenue for a large field fire behind the residence that was caused by a mower. Crews arrived and found the fire spreading rapidly due to the wind and it was heading toward structures on Farmington Avenue. Crews deployed several lines and stopped the fire from advancing beyond the field. BAF&R was assisted by Eastern Berks Fire & Rescue, Earl Township Fire Company, Amity Fire Company and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue. Boyertown Ambulance was on scene for safety and rehab services. Crews were on scene for over an hour battling the fire.
