Company 95 was dispatched to 204 S Ironstone Drive for a reported structure fire at 0414 hours. On arrival Chief 95 confirmed working fire on the charlie delta corner of the house and confirmed with Eastern Berks Regional Police that everyone was out of the house. Fire Commissioner 95 and Boyertown Ambulance members went to 196 S Ironstone to wake up the occupants and prepare them to evacuate. 196 S Ironstone did sustain damage from the heat of the fire. As Crews arrived from BAF&R, Eastern Berks Fire & Rescue and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue, Chief 95 upgraded the response to add Earl Township Fire and eventually Amity Fire Co and Upper Pottsgrove Fire Co. for manpower. Colebrookdale Township Public Works provided a backhoe to knock down a chimney and remove burning debris from the rear of the residence. Boyertown Ambulance and the Salvation Army provided Rehab and food and drinks. One firefighter suffered a medical condition on scene and Boyertown Ambulance treated them and transported to Reading Hospital. The family was displaced and will not be able to return to the home, The American Red Cross was contacted and they are helping the family. They are staying with family in the area for now. State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
