April 12, 2025 at 1700 hours a group of leaders from BAF&R attended the 71st Annual Boyertown Area Citizen of the Year Gala to honor this years recipients. Among them was our own Training Officer, Gary Conrad. Gary has served his communities for decades in the Fire Service including Friendship Hook & Ladder, Upper Pottsgrove where he served as Fire Chief and now with BAF&R since 2015. Gary’s wealth of knowledge and experience are a tremendous asset to BAF&R and especially to our Junior members who are just starting out in emergency services. BAF&R is honored to have people like Gary serving with us to serve our community. Thank you Gary, we are all very proud to serve along side of you.
Other recipients; Judge F. Richard Drumheller, Rick has served this community for decades as well, coaching children in T-ball and baseball, volunteer firefighter with Keystone Steam Fire Co, serving as a Judge for the annual Halloween Parade and many other contributions. Rick is currently the Magisterial District Judge in Boyertown. Congratulations Rick.
