Company 95 was dispatched to 565 Rt 100 at 1140 hours for a vehicle into parked vehicles with power lines down and injuries with entrapment. On arrival crews found a vehicle into two new vehicles and the building with the driver inside unable to get the door open. There was a Utility pole sheared off hanging on the wires at least fifteen feet lower than they should be and RT 100 was blocked. Fire Police quickly moved to divert all traffic off of RT 100 at Township Line Road and the New Berlinville exit. Crews also were helping at a second crash South of the initial crash where an Eastern Berks Regional Police cruiser was struck responding to the incident. Our prayers and best wishes to Sgt Babb on a speedy recovery. Boyertown Ambulance transported two from the scene to a local hospital. Berks Mont Towing came upon the scene and assisted by blocking RT 100 with a tow truck until Fire Police could shut down the roadway. Met Ed and Windstream were summoned to the scene to get the wires off of RT 100 so the roadway could be opened again. Vehicle from both crashes were removed and Met Ed and Windstream were able to raise the wires and RT 100 was opened to traffic. Thanks to all the employees from Quigley and Fred Beans that assisted with getting vehicles turned around and out of the scene and thanks to the Fire Police from numerous Companies that assisted BAF&R.
