Company 95 was requested to evaluate a structure after a vehicle crash where a parked vehicle was struck and pushed into the building. The Collapse Team was put on stand-by while Captain Neubauer, Chief Deiterich and FC Bealer went to the scene to check the structure. On location the building was checked inside and out including the basement and supporting structures of the building to evaluate whether any supports would be needed to be installed to stabilize the building. Crews found that damage appeared to be minor with cracks in the stone wall mortar joints and the stone wall was pushed in slightly. No structural damage was found. The owner was advised to contact a contractor to look at the damage that was found. The driver did not survive, the crash is under investigation by Pa State Police and the Berks County Coroners Office.
