Company 95 was dispatched to 1639 W Philadelphia Avenue at 1321 hours for a reported shed fire close to the house. Assistant 19 arrived on location confirming a working fire involving the shed and two residences with a third residence beginning to be involved. As crews were arriving the incident was escalated to with entrapment as neighbors reported there was someone in the residence which was immediately confirmed as a pet not a person. A dog was rescued from the one residence. Several Fire Companies battled the fire for hours to bring it under control. Rt 73 was closed in the area for hours. Boyertown Ambulance Goodwill Ambulance and Gilbertsville Ambulance all evaluated people on scene and provided Rehab for firefighters. The Salvation Army provided the Canteen.
State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
