Company 95 was dispatched to assist Amity Fire & Rescue with a report of a house on fire at 899 Douglass Drive at 1826 hours. On location crews found smoke and flames from the rear gable end of the original Summer Kitchen behind the house. Crews knocked down the fire and opened up the roof working with a crew inside to locate and extinguish the fire. Crews from Amity Fire & Rescue, Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue, Monarch Fire & Rescue and Pottstown Fire Department worked in the heat and humidity to stop the fire. Gilbertsville Ambulance and Boyertown Ambulance provided Rehab and monitored the firefighters on scene. Douglass Police also assisted on scene.
