3/21/2024 VEHICLE FIRE, W. PHILADELPHIA AVENUE, BOYERTOWN

At 16:48 hours, Company 95 was dispatched for a vehicle fire at the intersection of East Philadelphia and South Reading Avenues in the Borough of Boyertown. Upon response additional was given as a garbage truck and Eastern Regional Police were confirming a fire under the vehicle. Engine 95-1 arrived followed by Rescue 95 and the truck operator had discharged his fire extinguisher under the cab of the truck keeping the fire under control. Crews pulled the bumper line and manually lifted the cab to determine there was an electrical fire in the engine compartment and the fire was fully extinguished.

The company assisted Hawk’s Towing with removal of the vehicle and the company was placed available at 17:36 hours.
