8/3/2024, MUTUAL AID AMITY TOWNSHIP, STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE INVESTIGATION, 410 OLD AIRPORT ROAD, AMITY

Company 95 was requested to investigate the stability of a structure that was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Deputy Wary and FC Bealer arrived on scene and inspected the damage inside and outside of the structure. Three studs as well as the three corner studs were broken and knocked out of place, there was evidence of movement in the siding and the rear of the home has a small overhang which was no longer supported on this corner of the house. A decision was made to place a Paratech Strut under the overhang to support that corner of the house until Moyer’s Restoration could arrive to restore the corner load bearing wall of the home. Amity Fire Company had struts on their Rescue and we worked with them and Monarch Fire Company members to clear the area and place the strut.
