Company 95 was dispatched at 1240 hours for an elderly male in his vehicle down an embankment along the driveway at 2289 Farmington Avenue. He apparently was trying to back up to allow another vehicle to exit and went over the embankment. The vehicle was hanging just above a steep drop being held only by small trees. Crews worked with Berks-Mont Towing to stabilize the vehicle with the tow truck so the occupant could be extricated from the car. The vehicle was anchored to the tow truck and then crews could safely enter the vehicle and lift the driver out so he could be evaluated by Boyertown Ambulance EMS. The driver was not injured and Berk-Mont Towing pulled the vehicle back onto the driveway and the driver was able to go home. Douglass Police assisted on scene.
