Company 95 was dispatched at 2021 hours for a structure fire reported to be a chimney fire at 418 S. Madison Street. On arrival crews found dark smoke coming from the chimney, no flames or sparks. Ladder 95 was put in service and crews checked the chimney from the top while crews inspected the oil burner in the residence. No fire found in the chimney, oil burner was malfunctioning and needed to be cleaned. Resident had alternate heat so oil burner was shut down until it is serviced. Company 95 was assisted by Eastern Berks Fire and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue.
