Company 95 was dispatched for a structure fire at 17 S. Washington Street at 2058 hours reported smoke from the side of the building. Crews were just clearing the Chimney Fire so all Companies moved from Madison Street to S. Washington Street. On location crews found that it was steam from a dryer vent, no fire. This is the former Rhoads Opera House and thankfully this was not a fire, just steam from the laundry room. BAF&R was assisted by Eastern Berks Fire and Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue as well as Eastern Berks Regional Police.
