Company 95 was dispatched at 0113 hours to assist Amity Fire Company with a report of a large fire on the hill above the railroad tracks along Manatawny Drive. Douglass Police found the fire to be at the rear of 171 Rattlesnake Hill Road and crews responded to that location and began an attack on the fire. The fire was over the edge of the hill which is extremely steep terrain and rope lines and harnesses were used by some of the firefighters over the side due to the slope and being snow covered. Crews from Amity, BAF&R, Monarch Fire and Earl Fire Co. battled the blaze for nearly two hours in single digit weather and cleared the scene around 0300 hours.
