Company 95 was dispatched for a brush fire behind 47 Bause Road at 1352 hours. Eastern Berks Regional Police advised there was better access from Spring Garden Drive and operations were moved to Spring Garden Drive. As crews arrived the fast moving fire was starting to cross Spring Garden Drive and crews quickly knocked down the head of the fire to prevent it from jumping Spring Garden Drive. Crews were on scene for hours getting the fire extinguished due to the size of the fire and the high winds. BAF&R was assisted by the following companies providing Brush Trucks and ATVs to fight the fire, Eastern Berks Fire, Earl Township Fire, Oley Fire, Gilbertsville Fire, Monarch Fire, Exeter Fire, and Birdsboro Fire. DCNR is investigating the cause of the fire.
