3/28/2025, VEHICLE CRASH WITH INJURIES, 614 ENGLESVILLE ROAD, COLEBROOKDALE

03/28/2025 – AT 1951 hours Station 95 and Boyertown EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident reported with injuries and possible fire in the 600 block of Englesville Road in Colebrookdale Township. Caller reported a one vehicle accident that struck and sheared a utility pole. It was reported that the vehicle was occupied by possibly 5 teenaged people and there were possibly two injured.

Boyertown EMS and Engine 95-1 arrived and all occupants were self extricated. There was no fire in the vehicle and Rescue 95 arrived and personnel assisted with patient care. A second EMS unit was requested and Bally EMS was dispatched to assist. Fire Police shut down the roadway to traffic. The utility pole was sheared and wires were down across the roadway. Personnel stabilized the vehicle and checked the affected residences that had electrical service attached to the pole and all reported no loss of power.

The utility company was contacted and the scene was secured till they arrived. The accident is under investigation by the Eastern Berks Regional Police. The utility company and towing company arrived and personnel assisted with debris cleanup and securing the pole off the roadway for a repair crew to come and replace the sheared pole.

When the vehicle was removed and the utility company secured the downed wires the roadway was reopened and the company was available at 2102 hours.
