Company 95 was dispatched to 42 Lindy Lane Colebrookdale Township at 1507 hours for a reported structure fire with heavy smoke from the side of the residence. On location crews found heavy smoke with fire in the kitchen area of the residence. Crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the structure and checked for extension from the basement to the upstairs investigating all hot spots to assure the fire was completely extinguished. Company 95 was assisted by Earl Township Fire Co., Eastern Berks Fire Co., Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue and Boyertown Ambulance. Crews were on scene over two hours until the fire was extinguished and extensive overhaul was complete. The family will be staying with relatives.
