Once again the First Responders of the Boyertown Area; Eastern Berks Regional Police, Boyertown Ambulance and Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue hosted a Battle of the Badges Blood drive with the American Red Cross to get the most Donors to attend the Blood Drive to help build the supply of blood needed for people in our Region. Forty donors entered the drive with thirty-eight units of blood being collected and thirty-seven of the donors participated in the Battle of the Badges voting 20 times for Fire, 9 times for EMS and 8 times for Police. In the end everyone is a winner, the blood collected will help many. A very special thanks to Keystone Steam and Friendship Hook & ladder for the use of their social halls to hold these events.
