Company 95 was dispatched at 0505 hours for a Traffic Signal down at Sicilian Delight after being struck by a tractor trailer. On location crews secured the scene and blocked the roadway and sidewalks due to live wires down. The truck had left the scene and was stopped by Eastern Berks Regional Police on Second Street near Madison Street. Met Ed was contacted to secure the power lines and Signal Services was contacted for the Traffic Signal. Met Ed arrived and secured the power lines and the Traffic Signal was moved off the roadway and blocked with traffic cones until Signal services could arrive to replace the Traffic Signal.
Eastern Berks Regional Police are investigating the crash.
