Company 95 was dispatched to a 3 vehicle crash on South Reading Avenue in the 200 block with injuries at 2106 hours. On arrival crews assisted EMS from Boyertown Ambulance and called for a second Ambulance from Bally to assist. Crews then stabilized the vehicles and powered down the two with heavy damage and monitored a crushed battery in the one vehicle that was smoking. Crews assisted Berks-Mont Towing with removal of the vehicle and debris and fluids. South Reading Avenue was shut down between Second Street and Apple Street until the scene was cleared. Occupants of two of the vehicles were transported to local hospitals.
Eastern Berks Regional Police are investigating the crash.
