06-01-2024 – As personnel were manning the parking lots and also the food tent at our fundraising event at the Boyertown Community Fundays, at 1403 hours the structure assignment went out for a reported house on fire from the rear deck on Avalon Circle in Washington Township to assist Eastern Berks Fire Department (Company 97).

Continuing our joint relationship with Eastern Berks Fire & Rescue and Earl Township Fire Company we held a Vehicle Rescue training Monday May 6, 2024 at our Reading Avenue Station cutting apart two donated vehicles to practice different rescue scenarios. Great time and very good practice for all involved.

Boyertown Area Fire & Rescue, Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue and New Hanover Fire Company all trained together at Gilbertsville’s Station to work on several rescue scenarios cutting apart vehicles on the roof, on their side and on the wheels.
